Educational systems of Pakistan!!

Pakistani society has been divided into two parts due to discrimination in education system. It has two educational systems Urdu and English medium. Usually system of Urdu medium is for the poor ones while English medium is for the elite class. These two mediums have created large differences among the youngsters of the society. The main cause of two education system is poverty and awareness. Urdu medium system contains local education such as matriculation and intermediate while English medium system offers foreign education like O and A levels

.10751948_714354861981269_907941218_nOnly 49.9% of people are literate in Pakistan and every year there is an increase in dropout rate from Government schools; this is mainly because of absence of teachers and out dated syllabus. The huge difference between the two systems is that curriculum of Urdu medium schools is not upto the mark and is not revised regularly, while English medium schools have an updated curriculum which is revised every year. These days English language has became an important part of every society as it help  people to communicate around the globe. Urdu medium schools lack this important aspect due to which students lack behind from others. A teacher plays an important role in a child’s life; the teachers of Urdu medium schools are not well trained and neither well educated. English medium schools are usually private and Urdu medium schools are under the control of Government. Due to lack of funds Urdu medium schools lack behind the technological advancements unlike English medium schools. Due to lack of these facilities students of Urdu medium schools don’t pay attention towards their studies and lack behind from rest of the world.

                                                                    pakistan_teachers

There is a rule in Pakistan, the more you pay, the more you get and this happens in the educational systems too. For example Urdu medium schools offer less fee and they do not provide a good standard of education while English medium schools charge high fee and provide a good environment for children to learn more. We can see today that a child from urdu medium school is considered to be inferior than a child of English medium school. This creates differences in the society. These gaps don’t allow children to treat each other equally.

When children grow up with these differences, their personalities are surely affected. Students of English medium schools are preferred at university level and in offices. At university since most courses focus upon English language English medium students who usually are better with this language often earn a better grade; while students of urdu medium schools lack confidence and creativity. They don’t know about the technological advancements and lack behind in speaking skills. They can not apply abroad or for a good post in any firm . While student of English medium schools have knowledge about technological advancement, they are preferred by large institutes and they are able to apply abroad easily in short they are able to ace all the problem easily which occur while making their career.

Government can play a major role to bridge these gaps. When this issue will be resolved the discrimination because of education will reduce and Unemployment rate will decrease. If the basic needs will be fulfilled, our country will prosper and progress and it is beneficial for the economy of Pakistan.

“I believe the government should ensure all children are provided with a good education.”

Green: Wear Your Colour With Pride

“Cut me and i shall Bleed Green”

Pakistan, a state referred by many to be a failed one. Requiring transfusions from IMF on a regular basis, just to get by. But thats not my Pakistan, my pakistan is the beauty of the northern areas. My Pakistan is the one where people priorities our families over everything else. My pakistan is beautiful. But why do people stereotype us. The awkward paradigm refers to the nations  long standing correlation to the terrorism.

The Core Examp, we are not all the same

However, such thoughts are only nourished by narrow-minded people. Their are people in the world who still dare to come here. Why you say?, the tourism some decades ago in our country was booming. The safety meant that tourists found a lot of destinations. If such were still the case we would be an economy to be vicariously modeled. However, now instead of tourists roaming the mall road, we have suicide attacks at WaghA Border. This is just a needle In the hay stack the problem goes far and deep. We have lost our pride for one. We fail to recognize the goodness in people who stop to check if all is ok after an accident. We live in a state where despite some conflicting sects, There are those who respect and treat women like royalty. Hence, why judge  book by its cover?. We Are a nation of beautiful people infected by corruption and debase.

However, if our enemies think we will give up. they are sorely mistaken. because if you Ban Saeed Ajmal, we will bring in ZulFiqar Babar. If you treat us unfairly we will get our repentance, we will have an infinite number of Arfa Karims and malala yousafzai’s. So yes i am proud of my country. I live and breathe to revive the vision of Quad-e-Azam. I will help the old lady climb the stares. The day will come when we will be run by Leaders and not dictators.

An 11 year old default programme: Only from Pak May she est in Peace.

An 11 year old default programme: Only from Pak May she est in Peace.

So to conclude, Pakistan is not a weak country. Poor?. Yes. Uneduced?. Yes. However, we have farmers with good morals and hardworking. We have NGO’s who help the poor. We have leaders who are Rallying people for justice and the day will come when people will have a hard time trying to get a Pakistani passport. They will prefer our universities,

So i salute you my Quaid for making me a Pakistani. For thh freedom. And no, we’re not weak we are the only islamic nuclear state and the sixth largest infantry. We’ve martyrs who face the barrel of a gun with a smile. So do know we are not ones to give up. because being a Pakistani means a lot to me and i will be loyal in all times to come.

The Beauty Of Pakistan

Every feature of this country be it architecture, weather or tradition has a story of its own which is worth appreciating. The northern areas of this country are spell binding. Mountains such as K-2, waterfalls, fruit and flower gardens and the traditions practiced by the northern tribes all play a part in attracting Pakistanis as well as foreigners to witness this paradise and be in awe.

The culture of all the four provinces of Pakistan is gripping and rich but the culture which is most influential is that of the Mughal dynasty with their architecture style, impressive designs are liked and appreciated by everyone who witnesses it be it the Shalimar Gardens or the Badshahi mosque. Different kinds of languages like Saraiki, Pashtu, Balochi and Punjab exist in Pakistan. Pakistan experiences the four season’s summer, winter, autumn and spring a blessing that only a few can achieve.

I am writing this for the people who being Pakistanis insult their own country saying their is nothing here for them .We all hear and read about how people criticize and insult Pakistan, and unfortunately there has been such violence in recent years .But we should not forget about the positive side of this country. The good points of Pakistan have been hidden in this time of violence. Lets view our potential by looking at our country past & present achievements.

Despite all the mishaps, destruction and loss, we’ve shown a lot of progress. We still have time to improve more. One of the inspiring fact we are seeing is that a majority is protesting the violence. We want to change and as long as we’re still living let’s bring out the best of us and our country.

Morality

Morality can be generalized, for the sake of convenience, as a sense of what is right and what is wrong. There are three notable sources of morals: religion, traditional or cultural values and commonly held beliefs (or a way of life) and at least two of these are under the influence of man.

Since the creation of man, the issue of what a man is to do and what a man is not to do have been an outstanding one. Over the course of time, religion and conscience have been able to provide some if not all answers and grounds as to what a man can and cannot do. The first problem that exists in answering these questions is that although words such as “chivalry” and “justice” are very often tossed around, their true meaning in the sense of total acceptance is not understood or hasn’t yet been established for that particular matter.

Can justice be absolute? The answer quite simply for me at least would be no. I think justice for one person will always mean pain or suffering for another, for instance a man being executed for a heinous crime would be justice for the victim, but would it really be justice for the family of the criminal? There can be a logical extension made in this regard, assuming the family is dependent upon that particular person economically, which is true for many cases. What happens next? And how fairly justice has been done?

indexistock_000017356047small_wide-59a19304fd5e7a5819f1bf20f9796caa43b1fbf7-s6-c10

This is just one aspect, another would be that since the question of right and wrong and morality itself is one that’s very subjective in nature, how can there be a universal form of justice when the entire universe does not conform to one set of moral values? Proof for this particular claim would be diversity of opinion across the world with regard to issues as that of legalization of prostitution or abortion or even euthanasia for that matter. Another way to go about it would be that if we abandon some values of the past in an attempt to become civilized, by definition the entire concept of feminine empowerment and women being given equality. Doing just that implicitly means that we as a race are admitting to the fact that in some point in time because of our social mindsets and moral values, a significant amount of women were not given justice, or were even burnt at the sake.

The human race is mainly an immoral one and I base this claim on not just our current status but our past, the blood we’ve shed, the lives we’ve taken and how human nature dominantly tilts towards greed but also on the fact that we have led to the destruction of almost everything that we come on contact with. I speak of species that once used to exist, the dodo bird for instance and of the earth itself. Thus, we cannot leave it upon man to follow his conscience and endorse the values of a society which is why we have laws.

The purpose of laws as sensibly stated in the social contract is to ensure that the rights of one individual end where those of another begin which seems reasonable enough but where do these laws come from? The answer would be that they are a combination of both common sense and moral values. The problem lies in the fact that these values are neither perfect nor always right and have on more than one occasion proved to be bigoted against one class/sect/race/gender of society; the slave trade aimed at marginalizing the poor, women not being allowed to vote, black trade and what not!

Similarly, one might say that now such laws cease to exist in the status quo and therefore, the need to ponder over them fades away. But we have already established that what seemed ‘civil’ a couple of hundred years down memory lane is not anymore. Likewise, if we talk about appropriate issues today, prostitution for instance, laws do exist which aim at sidelining prostitutes although a hundred years from now society might deem it ‘civilized’ to be a prostitute.

On this note, a need comes into existence that these problems be addressed. The question is as to how one can address on such types of issues. One way of going about it could be a complete separation of moral values from the state and its governance, similar to the idea of secularity except that it deals with moral values and social mindsets. Therefore, one must not ignore the fact that until humanity has perfected its ideas as to what justice truly requires and how it needs to be absolute and not a commodity that can be expanded on the convenience of man. Instead morality and legislation should indeed be treated separately. The main problem is that of the world where morality and legislation are exclusive of each other, with another world where legislation is based upon a consensus between a particular group of individuals who have the authority to create laws and enforce them. These individuals will not necessarily ensure that the rights of everyone are protected and the likelihood of them serving their own interests is greater, which is why man will always be in a conflict over morality and the legislation.

Insight of mind

2014-11-09_04.01.39

Hi guys! I am Ali Nawaz. I am a twenty-one year grad student out in the cyber world to make friends. I decided to blog so that people have a better insight about me and my interests which are watching movies and reading. My real passion is movies. Mostly I like thriller, comedy, action or horror movies. After watching I like to dissect it with my friends. Movies are based or adapted from books. This gave birth to my reading interest.

In my early age I started liking animation movies like Charlotte’s Web and the Wizard of Oz. I loved to see the animations and discuss with my mother. Seeing my interest my mother used to bring movies with their counterpart books. All the Harry Potter movies also entered the scene. J.K. Rowling is an excellent writer and the movies differed from her books which was quite annoying at times for me. The books “The Lord of the Rings” and Demons by Dan Brown were different from the movies as well.

I began comparing English and Indian movies which were a copy. Though some movies have done quite well others don’t even show a slightest bit of change in the story line. The recent movie Bang Bang is a 85% copy of a Tom Cruise movie. Some pick up comic scenes or action sequences but guys don’t you see the movies doing big business are not copies but originals. Movies like Avatar, Titanic and Terminator are original. Same goes for 3 Idiots, Jodha Akbar and Don.

Added to that is the fact that parodies hold much more interest to people. Take Om Shanti Om for instance which is a parody of Karz or the Hollywood success Scary Movies which make fun of all the kill trill movies. Now that is great comic stuff.Due to my knowledge, my interest in debating developed. It helped me to build confidence and adopt many special skills. I started off by joining the debating society. Debating was becoming a passion for me day by day.

Due to my knowledge, my interest in debating developed. It helped me to build confidence and adopt many special skills. I started off by joining the debating society. Debating was becoming a passion for me day by day.Recently I attended OXIMUN (Oxford International Model United Nation). This was my first and a remarkable experience. In this experience I explore many different people and places. Now I am planning for Harvard Model United Nation. I believe one day there would be change in our society if we raise our voice.

So here I am willing to discuss and shred movies and books with you and some of my experiences in life Boys and girls, this is Ali signing off.

Utopian Addict

Our lives are full of new experiences every single day. It is filled with the highs and the lows, grief and sorrows but mostly joyous occasions. An ability that is greatly enhanced through the various experiences of one’s life is his creativity. Every single human being views life in new ways or from a completely different perspective. They have been blessed with a unique ability to develop new objects or new ideas. This is when a person is said to be “creative.” Due to creativity individuals are unique in their thoughts, actions and behavior. If a person has ideas but does not act upon them, then he is called imaginative but not creative. Creative people are full of energy and full of wonder who think outside the box. A person with the least of the resources, I would say has the greatest possibility of being creative. This plays a major role in developing a person’s personality.

creativity

As I walk down the memory lane I see myself as an introvert who has never wanted to face the world. This might be bit cruel for me myself but unfortunately it is quite true. I always portrayed myself as a hero for all generations to come just like Superman and Batman with a world full evil all around me but just in a room. I called my room an ‘Imaginary box,’ where I could lie down easily and plan on how to save the world. Too proud even to watch the super hero cartoons and I being a mature child always believed that heroes lived in us. They just needed to be exposed at the right time. I remember having sleepless nights due to continuous planning on how to save my school or the president of our country in order to save him from a terrorist attack. The common path in all the plans was usually an underground tunnel. I am sure you would be finding this quite dumb and funny as you read along but was how I was. I can proudly say ‘not anymore.’

SupermanJLBColorWeb

Living in my own Utopian world with my door always locked far away from the world and its people I could easily ignore the reality. This was where I was just an ordinary child who used to crave for ice cream and chocolates. There was something in my mind that made me believe that I am the greatest and could surpass all mankind. To this day I still am finding that narrow underground tunnel for the urge to achieve greatness. One never knows what the next step might bring yo you.
