Eating is a necessity but COOKING IS AN ART!!!

Hurray!!! Finally I made custard without lumps. This was my feeling at the age of seven when I made perfect vanilla custard for the first time in my life. Undoubtedly this was a great feeling of achievement. After so many tries I was finally able to prepare the perfect custard. This feeling of achievement was something which influenced me to learn advanced cooking.

I started cooking at the age of seven and my inspiration was my talented mother who used to be praised by our family and friends for the recipes she made. She cooked amazing recipes which were not only visually appealing but were palatable. As a child I grew eating her recipes and getting inspired by her day by day.

“Cooking is like snow skiing: If you don’t fall at least 10 times,
then you’re not skiing hard enough.”

Today after so many years I am still cooking and for me it is not just a habit or hobby but it is something which gives me pleasure and mind relaxation. It would not be wrong to say that I am obsessed with my cooking talent and now I am on a stage where I admire my own hands for creating wonderful dishes.

The talent of cooking is something which differentiates me from many other people of my age. Now a day’s when it is considered that an educated girl cannot cook well, it gives me great gratification that I am the one breaking this stereotype. I am not only educated but I also cook well.

There are several ways in which people define Cooking. For some it is the practice of preparing food by mixing, heating and combining ingredients and for others it is the act to satisfy their basic need of hunger. But cooking for me is an art by which I can create whatever I want with anything available in my kitchen. It gives me great pleasure and pride to think that my hands can create an extraordinary dish out of such ordinary ingredients.

Cooking is also a way to satisfy hunger. Hunger is a state of discomfort or weakness caused by lack of food consumption. This is a feeling which is common in every living thing. We have this feeling everyday and to satisfy this feeling we try to eat best food possible which is not only nutritious but also tasty. To create this type of delicious food we need to cook.

There are people around me who love eating but hate cooking. For them cooking is hell of a task. They think it is irritating and annoying to cook just because they cannot cook. I would just like to say that hating cooking is just their way to protect themselves from the hard work or determination required to learn this art. For me those people lack creativity but everyone have their preferences.

Back then some people were criticized for being chefs. But I happily consider the fact that the trends have changed. Now more and more people are becoming chefs and are earning even more money than bankers or businessmen. Lastly to motivate all those who like cooking but are afraid to take it as a career I would like to say people can survive without a well settled business in recession but they cannot survive without food. Regardless of the economic condition cooking is a type of career which will continue to excel day by day and it is a safer career option for all those who know and love cooking.

According to George Bernard Shaws:
“A life spent making mistakes is not only more
honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing
